The answering service for Australian law firms, filed to your matters.
EzyBiz Lex gives your practice a dedicated business number and an answering service that picks up in your firm's name when you are in court, with a client or off the clock. It qualifies the caller, books the consult or takes the message, then writes the summary and transcript straight to the matter in your practice management system, so the file is up to date before you have had a chance to call back.
EzyBiz Lex is in pilot with law firms in Victoria. Five founding places remain: setup with the founder, price locked for 12 months, and a 60-day walk-away guarantee if it has not answered a call you would have missed.
Every call lands in the system that runs your practice
EzyBiz Lex connects to your practice management system once, for the whole firm. From then on the caller's matter is on your screen before you answer, and after the call the summary, the transcript and a finished file note are on the matter without anyone typing them.
Smokeball
Coming soonContacts sync instantly. The matter shows on the incoming call. Summary, transcript and file note file to the matter automatically, and text messages log against it too. New callers are created as leads.
Clio
Coming soonThe same record, filed to the Clio matter, with contacts synced both ways and SMS on the matter timeline. Suggested and default matters mean a call is never filed to the wrong place.
SharePoint
For firms on Microsoft 365, every summary and transcript becomes a document in your library, organised per contact, under your tenant's own retention and access rules, and findable in Microsoft Search and Copilot with everything else.
Priya Sharma called about the interim hearing date and whether the affidavit needs to be filed before it. Message taken. She would like a call back this afternoon on her mobile. No advice was given.
Three ways to take the day's calls
You choose how EzyBiz Lex handles the line, and you can change it in the app between a hearing and a meeting.

The record writes itself
Every call and message becomes a summary and a transcript, stored in Australia and searchable from the app. It files to the matter in Smokeball or Clio as a finished file note, or into your SharePoint library under the contact, so it sits with the rest of the matter and nobody has to type up a phone call again.
James is unavailable at the moment, but if you'd like to share what the call concerns, I'll pass your message on right away.
Replies drafted for you, sent by you
For text messages, EzyBiz Lex drafts a reply from the conversation so far. You read it, change what you want and send it, and nothing reaches a client without you.
Your number, or a new one
A dedicated Australian business number for you or for the whole firm, ready in minutes, or port the number you already have. If you would rather change nothing on day one, forward your existing number on no answer and EzyBiz Lex only ever sees the calls you did not take.
Built and supported in Australia
EzyBiz Lex is built in Melbourne by Avocado. Calls, transcripts and messages are stored in Australian data centres and handled under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and every caller is told at the start of the call that it is being transcribed. Support is a person in Australia, and during the pilot that person is the founder.
One plan for your practice
Billed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel any time. Smokeball, Clio and SharePoint filing included. Founding pilot firms have the price locked for 12 months and a 60-day guarantee: if EzyBiz Lex has not answered a call you would have missed, walk away and pay nothing further.
