A phone and answering service for Actionstep firms
EzyBiz LEX does not integrate with Actionstep. It still gives each lawyer a business number, answers the calls nobody can take, and writes a file note for every one. This page sets out what a Actionstep firm gets, what it does not, and which phone products do connect to Actionstep.
No Actionstep integration. EzyBiz LEX does not file calls into Actionstep and we do not have a date for a connection. Nothing on this page should be read as a promise of one.
What EzyBiz LEX does for a Actionstep firm
Answers the calls you cannot
In the firm's name, at every hour, taking a legal intake or a message and booking the consult if you allow bookings. It never gives advice and it tells callers it is automated when they ask.
Writes the file note
A summary and a transcript for every call, including the ones a lawyer took, with any close date on the first line. They are in the app shortly after the call ends, with a push notification.
Keeps every call searchable
Summaries stay in the app alongside your texts, on each contact's timeline. Transcripts are kept for three months, or deleted from our storage as soon as they are filed if you connect SharePoint.
Files to SharePoint, if you use Microsoft 365
Every summary and transcript can be written to a SharePoint library as a Word document under the contact, so there is a document for each call that the firm holds itself.
Gives each lawyer a business number
On the mobile they already carry, with calls out showing the business number and three call modes switched with one tap.
What is missing without a Actionstep connection
Nothing is written to the Actionstep matter
The note is written, and it is not filed for you. Someone at the firm adds it to the matter in Actionstep.
No matter on screen before you answer
Caller ID that shows the client's matter and last note comes from the practice management connection, so it is not available to a Actionstep firm.
No tasks, calendar or leads in Actionstep
Callbacks and bookings are in the Agenda tab of the app. They are not created in your practice management system.
Phone products that do connect to Actionstep
If a call on the Actionstep matter is the thing you need most, these are the places to look.
VXT
A phone system for lawyers, listed in Actionstep's integrations directory, which says it saves AI notes and billable time from calls and meetings to Actionstep.
Yestech VoIP
Listed in Actionstep's integrations directory as linking a phone system to Actionstep, with call logging, transcription, an AI summary against each log and automated time entry.
These descriptions come from Actionstep's integrations directory, as at 3 October 2026. The wider field is compared in phone systems for Australian law firms.
The two can also be used together. A firm keeps the phone system that writes to Actionstep on its desks and gives each lawyer an EzyBiz LEX number for direct calls and texts, so that the calls a lawyer cannot pick up are answered and written up as well.
Questions from Actionstep firms
No. EzyBiz LEX does not file calls into Actionstep. Every summary is kept in the app, searchable alongside your texts, a push notification arrives after each call, and if you use Microsoft 365 each call can be filed to SharePoint as a Word document.
We do not have a date and will not promise one. If it matters to your firm, tell us on a demo call so we know how many firms are asking.
Yes. The answering service, the business numbers, the call modes, the summaries and the transcripts all work without a practice management connection. What an Actionstep firm does not get is the record filed to the matter automatically.
Actionstep's integrations directory lists VXT and Yestech VoIP, both of which log calls and time to Actionstep.
